Recently, in a Digital Arts lesson, we were asked to create our own website. I decided to make a page about me as a novice journalist. However, before I started working on the site, I first did some research. To this end, I searched the internet for journalism websites. I have found two that I am going to analyze in this post. I am sure that thanks to them I will be able to successfully do my work. 

The front page belongs to Rachel Spencer. Its website seems very simple at first. However, I can say that it is very well developed. I really like the color combination of three colors - white, black and light blue - it is very pleasing to the eye. What else I noticed is a large, clear inscription at the top, informing about the name of the author of the page and who she is. There is also a photo on the main page that matches the topic of the page. 

Everything is consistent and easy to use. I also looked at the section about me. First, a large inscription about the author of the page catches the eye. On the left side you can see a photo of Rachel Spencer. Then there is a short description about the author herself and her interests. You can also find links to other social media operated by her. I like the whole performance, but I would put the links to the media in a separate tab.

The next page is Louise Tickle's. I like it very much. Again, I must praise the great color selection - green, white and brown. In my opinion, this website was made very carefully. First, the big inscription informing you about the name of the author of the page and who she is. It is located on the left and on the right we have a bored menu. Then a large and clear photo of Louise Tickle can be seen. I really like it as an art treatment and I think my main site will be done in a similar style.

Louise's website is very easy to use and clear. I also looked at her about me tab. However, it does not have a separate subpage. The description of the author can be found on the home page only below. It looks pretty good, but I prefer to create a separate tab for my description. So again you can see the author of the page on the left. At the top, the woman added a small picture of a pen which fits perfectly with the theme of the page. Below is an extensive description of Louise detailing all of her important achievements.

Taking a closer look at these two pages has just helped me create an initial plan of how I want my site to look. Probably it will not be as well and professionally made as theirs, but I hope it will satisfy me at least halfway.
